Meccano Mexico

Meccano was made in Mexico under license by Exin-Mex. S.A. from 1971 until around the mid 1970s. They produced the 1965-69 type sets 0 to 5.

Note that they had originally started making Meccano sets in Spain from 1969 (See Mecccano Spain), but then moved all their production machinery to Mexico in 1971, to continue production there.

Sets 0-5, probably very similar to Liverpool's 1965-69 sets, with similar boxes. Made under licence by Exim-Mex S.A.Exim had exclusive right to make MECCANO in Spain before moving to Mexico in '71. Ref: MJ32/948.
